We conduct worship services every Sunday morning. Like many churches, we began having services online (via Zoom) during the COVID pandemic. However, we never stopped! We found that our format provides advantages: it allowed us to add participants who do not live in the Metroplex, including other places in the United States and even Europe, even though we are based in a northern suburb of Dallas, Texas. It also allows participation by persons who are confined to their homes or simply prefer the convenience of attending a worship service from home. It even allows persons who are on vacation or just temporarily away from home to join us through the internet.
Our format also permits us to access outstanding Bible teachers and include interactive participation. We watch videos of our sermons, featuring well-known, respected preachers such as the late Dr. Tim Keller (founding pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Manhattan) and Dr. Alistair Begg (senior pastor of Cleveland's Parkside Church). During or immediately after the sermons, we have discussion time when everyone is invited to share their thoughts, questions, and experiences with everyone else. We believe this adds a great deal to each person's understanding of the sermon and the impact of the scriptures. Participation in the discussions is entirely voluntary.
Invitations to our Sunday services are sent by email, and we ask that each person join online by 10:00am. We feature worship songs, monthly communion, a sharing time for praise and prayer requests, as well as additional thought about previous sermons, and then the video sermon for the day. The services end before noon. Please note that we do not offer a Children's Ministry at this time.
